Description
Rumia Tingel, originally named Ermiana El Kel Alzano, was the second princess of the Alzano Empire, born July 7, 1837. Labeled a "supernatural" due to her unique magical abilities and deemed unfit for royalty by her mother, Queen Alicia VII, she was banished from the royal family, an act that devastated her. Though publicly rumored dead, she was kidnapped only to be rescued by the assassin Glenn Radars, secretly hired by Alicia. Glenn promised her protection, leading to her adoption by the Fibel family and her new identity as Rumia Tingel. Initially at odds, Rumia eventually forged a close, sister-like bond with her foster sister, Sistine Fibel.
Rumia possesses high spiritual essence and a unique ability called "Amplifier," which significantly enhances her magical energy, making her a target for groups like the Researchers of Heavenly Wisdom. Despite her traumatic past, she exhibits a gentle, wise, and caring demeanor, treating others equally. She often acts as a calming influence and mediator, particularly in conflicts involving Glenn, contrasting with Sistine’s more rigid personality. Rumia displays quiet resilience, exemplified when she confidently stood her ground against a competitor during a magic competition.
Her appearance features straight blonde hair in a bob cut, aquamarine eyes, and a large green bow atop her head. She typically wears the Alzano Imperial Magic Academy uniform, accessorized with blue clip-ons on the right side of her hair and a gray arm stretcher on her right arm.
Rumia’s development centers on confronting her past. At the Magic Competition prize ceremony, she publicly acknowledged Queen Alicia as her mother, despite Alicia’s initial cold rejection stemming from political pressures, underscoring Rumia’s emotional strength and resolve to uphold her identity. Her relationship with Glenn evolved from gratitude for his rescue to deep respect for his unwavering protection, especially when he risked his life defending her. She views him as a foundational source of support, differing from other students' perceptions. Her bond with Sistine blends familial loyalty with protective instincts; Rumia supports Sistine’s ambitions while gently guiding her through challenges, such as mediating tensions between Sistine and Glenn. Rumia also exhibits subtle jealousy when other women interact with Glenn, reflecting underlying romantic feelings. Her growth is marked by increasing assertiveness in safeguarding loved ones and her commitment to ideals, aspiring to lead humanity toward ethical use of magic.
