Description
Takako Chino is introduced as a 16-year-old high school student, later shown at 26. She stands 170 cm tall with blood type A, possessing a tall, slender build, long dark hair, choppy bangs, and bluish-gray eyes. After a time skip, her appearance shifts to a shorter, boyish haircut and practical attire like a blue shirt with black pants.

Her personality blends maturity with a boyish demeanor, contrasting with more traditionally feminine peers. She exhibits strong protective instincts, especially toward her close friend Naho Takamiya, and a short temper when confronting those who harass her friends. This is evident in her repeated confrontations with Rio Ueda, whom she threatens to expose for bullying. Takako openly expresses a willingness to use physical defense to protect Naho.

As part of the friend group including Naho, Kakeru Naruse, Hiroto Suwa, Azusa Murasaka, and Saku Hagita, she receives letters from her future self revealing Kakeru's impending suicide, instructing her to help prevent it. Initially, she and Azusa suspect Naho and Suwa are hiding their letters, though all eventually acknowledge receiving similar future correspondence. Her future self expresses regret over not disclosing Kakeru's feelings to Naho earlier, a shared sentiment within the group.

Within this dynamic, she actively supports Naho and Kakeru's relationship, often collaborating with Azusa to create opportunities for them. Takako defends Kakeru's autonomy in choosing companions. Her close friendship with Azusa endures despite their differing personalities, Takako being less girlish.

She has unnamed parents. The meaning of her given name carries interpretations like "precious child" or "filial piety child," while her surname combines characters for "thousand," "wisdom," or "scatter" with "field" or "wilderness."

At 26, she remains alive in the altered timeline where the friends' interventions successfully prevent Kakeru's death. Her core traits of loyalty and protectiveness persist into adulthood.
