His eyes are distinctly blue, a feature he once jokingly attributed to contact lenses before taking it back. Lazy like Jibanyan, Tomnyan is passionately proud of American culture, frequently launching into enthusiastic monologues that test Nate and Whisper's patience. He shares Jibanyan's love for Mega Tasty Bars (Deliciousticks) and idolizes pop star Lady Nya Nya. Tomnyan speaks in a deeper voice than Jibanyan and often ends sentences with "meow." In battle, he uses "Sharp Claws," the fiery "Hibana no Jutsu," and his Soultimate "Centicuffs" ("One-Hundred Paws"), unleashing 100 rapid punches. His "Merican Allstars" skill boosts damage based on allied 'Merican Yo-kai. Skilled in guitar and singing, his music wins USApyon's approval but not Jibanyan's. He lives with Jerry, bonding over American food and culture. His relationship with Jibanyan mixes friendship and rivalry, debating Japan vs. America, yet they connect over their shared tragic pasts. Debuting in anime episode 130, Tomnyan was found inspiriting Nate's parents. He befriended Nate and revealed the Yo-kai Watch Dream. Later episodes showed his camaraderie with USApyon over their 'Merican roots, cultural clashes with Jibanyan, and group activities like a wasabi sushi challenge (episode 150).
