Shiori Kobayakawa is a young resident of Hitogashima Island whose family runs the Kobe Mart store. Days before Ushio Kofune's death, she reported being followed by an identical look-alike, though her concerns were dismissed. On July 21, during a beach outing, her Shadow doppelgänger dragged her underwater. Ushio Kofune intervened to save her but drowned in the struggle. During this event, the Shadow Shiori immobilized Ushio and her own Shadow counterpart, erased the original Shiori, assumed her identity, and feigned unconsciousness. This Shadow entity later claimed to possess Shiori's memories, body, and identity, asserting it was indistinguishable from the original despite its supernatural nature. In subsequent time loops, this Shadow continued impersonating Shiori. During the third loop, Shinpei Ajiro investigated the closed Kobe Mart and discovered evidence of the Kobayakawa family's murder by Shadows. Shadow Shiori confronted him, revealed her true nature, and escaped. The entity was later identified as the goddess Hiruko, also called Haine, who adopted Shiori's form due to mobility limitations in her original body. As Haine, she exploited this disguise to manipulate events, marking Shinpei during one encounter to track him across loops. In later loops, variations occurred, such as the eleventh loop where Shiori appeared alive with her mother, befriended Haine, and retained the family name Kobayakawa, though her father's status remained unclear. The Shadow/Haine entity consistently used Shiori's form for reconnaissance and combat, leveraging the appearance to evade suspicion while advancing plans to consume the island's inhabitants. Following the main conflict's resolution across all official media, the entity maintained the Shiori form as part of Haine's identity.
