Ayumi Yamagou enters her first year at Ooarai Girls Academy as the main gunner and loader for the Rabbit Team's M3 Lee medium tank, operating its 75mm sponson-mounted cannon. She hails from Omitama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and lives in the school dormitory with her parents and an older sister comprising her family.
Physically, Ayumi stands 160 cm tall, making her Rabbit Team's tallest and most physically developed member, a trait frequently noted in supplementary materials. She possesses long, dark hair – described variably as black with a hyacinth blue tint or dark blue – dark blue eyes, and visible freckles on her cheeks.
