Movie
Description
Keizō, called Nathaniel Adams in English, plays a pivotal role in "Yo-kai Watch: The Movie" as the grandfather of protagonist Keita Amano (Nate Adams), a connection revealed later. The film depicts him as a boy living 60 years before the main series events.
He possesses tanned skin and wears a white tank top, beige shorts, a blue cape, wooden geta sandals, and an orange charm necklace. Keizō bears a strong physical resemblance to his grandson.
Brave and determined, Keizō idolizes the superhero Moximous Mask (Gutsman). Despite his courage, he sometimes doubts his worthiness for friendship, stating, "I'm not qualified to have friends."
Keizō invented and crafted the original Yo-kai Watch, the Model Zero, along with prototype Yo-kai Medals used to combat antagonists. In battle, he relies on agility and strength, wielding a wooden club against Kaima Yo-kai (Wicked Yo-kai). He proves perceptive, identifying disguised Kaima infiltrating groups to provoke conflict.
His primary companion is the Yo-kai Hovernyan (Fuyunyan), sharing a bond mirroring Keita's with Jibanyan. A girl named Yukippe (young Lucy Loo Adams) shows concern for him, indicating romantic interest. When Keita travels back in time, Keizō recognizes his grandson's resolve and trusts him with the Model Zero. He mentors Keita, teaching him a specific battle dance and pose.
The film's plot centers on Keizō creating the Yo-kai Watch. Villain Dame Dedtime (Tokio Ubaune) steals Keita's watch in the present, threatening human-Yo-kai bonds. Keita, Whisper, and Jibanyan travel back 60 years to ensure Keizō completes his invention after he halts development, causing its future disappearance. Keizō and Keita unite to confront Dame Dedtime and her minions, protecting the past. Keizō urges Keita, "If your friends are important, save them yourself!", emphasizing self-reliance. Their success secures the watch's creation and restores the future.
