Himeno Matsumae, a sixth-grade student, lives with her frequently absent father. Her life shifts when a mysterious creature called Kaseifu-Ita-Mitaidesu, meaning "Appears to have been a maid," arrives to care for her during these absences. Himeno and Kaseifu regularly face troublesome situations together. Kaseifu can temporarily become human for exactly one minute at a time, turning their daily routine into a dance of navigating these fleeting transformations alongside ordinary household chores.
