Description
Nero Yuzurizaki, a 15-year-old detective, charges through life as one of the four core members of the Milky Holmes agency. She wields an energetic, selfish, and occasionally obnoxious personality, often using the masculine pronoun "boku." Her substantial appetite frequently takes priority, driving her actions. Yet beneath this self-centered exterior lies a genuine care for her teammates, prompting her to look out for their well-being.

Her unique "Toy" ability grants her technopathic control: manipulating, disassembling, reconstructing, and enhancing machines using a small piece of metal and nearby materials. This power surfaces temporarily under extreme emotional duress or encouragement, like heating water for a hot spring when her teammates motivate her. The full scope of her Toy remains undefined across media, distinguishing it as the most enigmatic among the Milky Holmes members.

Following an encounter with the Thieves' Empire in earlier anime seasons, Nero and her team lose their Toys and face expulsion into an attic dormitory. This period amplifies her selfishness and underhanded tactics, though her fierce protectiveness over her friends and their shared goals remains unwavering. Her relationships include a noted crush on fellow member Hercule Barton and moments of physical closeness with Cordelia Glauca, such as sleeping while clinging to her or licking her cheek.

Later, in *Futari wa Milky Holmes*, Nero steps into mentorship, guiding the new detective unit Feathers led by Alice and Kazumi. This shift showcases her growing competence, contrasting with her earlier, often flanderized anime depiction focused on gluttony and ineptitude. *Tantei Kageki Milky Holmes TD* sees her assisting idol Marine Amagi in recovering stolen songs, though her personality distinctions from other team members soften within a more homogenized dynamic.

Adaptational differences exist: while the anime emphasizes greed and comedic failures, game and manga portrayals present a more mature, composed Nero, strategically vital and using her Toy for hacking and information gathering. These versions also highlight her affinity for animals, largely absent in the anime. Across all media, her core traits endure: a tomboyish demeanor, steadfast loyalty to Milky Holmes, and machine-based abilities.
