Description
Hanna-Justina Wallia Rosalind Sieglinde Marseille, known as "Tina" to friends, is a Karlsland native commanding the 31st Joint Fighter Squadron Afrika, the Storm Witches. Born December 13, 1927, in Berlin to a military family with Gallian heritage, she manifested early magic power yet faced enrollment resistance from family disputes and societal prejudice. A chance Berlin meeting with a noble secured her military training recommendation. Despite outstanding academic results, her rebellious conduct, penchant for pranks, and disregard for discipline created friction with instructors labeling her "impertinent," allowing Erica Hartmann to become the training school's top student.

Initially assigned to Jagdgeschwader 52 (JG52) 4th Staffel alongside Hartmann, Marseille scored a solo kill in her first battle but habitually violated orders, abandoning escort missions to pursue personal victories and damaging equipment. This resulted in disciplinary confinement and transfer to Jagdgeschwader 27 (JG27) in Africa under Edytha Neumann. The harsh African environment catalyzed significant personal growth; her cheerful nature and boastful tendencies became assets, fostering unit cooperation and personal composure. She honed exceptional predictive shooting abilities, merging acute eyesight, acrobatic maneuvers, and spatial discernment to perfect a unique combat style where targets seemingly "fly into her line of fire." Switching to a Bf109F-4/trop Striker Unit enhanced her close-combat prowess, yielding unprecedented success—14 kills in May 1942 and 33 in June 1942, surpassing 100 total kills that year. These feats earned global fame as the "Star of Africa" and "Desert Eagle," along with military decorations including the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern. Some assessments value her record highly due to the formidable Neuroi types encountered in Africa.

Marseille exhibits fierce competitiveness, arrogance, and an unrelenting drive for victory in combat and daily life. She views Erica Hartmann as her sole equal and rival, constantly seeking decisive competition despite Hartmann's indifference. Though world-famous with a large civilian following, she enforces a strict "no autographs" policy. Her relationship with subordinates is complex; Raisa Pöttgen admires her intensely yet maintains personal distance. Early conflicts with former superior Gertrud Barkhorn, who deemed her "untrustworthy," included mocking Barkhorn as a "hard-headed siscon."

Her primary magical ability, "Deflection Shooting," is an advanced form of predictive marksmanship potentially combining future sight, spatial awareness, and magic bullet control. This, coupled with exceptional agility and eyesight, establishes her as mankind's highest-evaluated marksman among Witches. Her Striker Units progressed from the Bf109F-4/trop (Yellow No. 14) to a Bf109G-0 prototype in October 1942. During a sortie with this unit, engine failure caused a fire. Though Katou Keiko attempted rescue, Marseille's Steller's Sea Eagle familiar sacrificed itself to save them. After mourning the familiar and erecting a pyramid-shaped grave, she contracted with its offspring and later transitioned to a Bf109G-2/trop after receiving maintenance assurances. She also uses a customized yellow M1934 "Marseille Special" machine gun.

Her first familiar died saving her during combat in October 1942, a loss she commemorated with a grave beneath that airspace. Her legacy extends beyond direct appearances; Suomus Air Force ace Hanna Wind earned the nickname "North Pole Marseille" in homage to her African counterpart's renown.
