Description
Hattori commands the Special Operations Anti-Demon Seed Team, a police unit targeting the mecha-driven criminal group Demon Seed. He devised the unorthodox Idol Project while intoxicated, recruiting an idol singer to fight these criminals. Despite his own doubts, authorities greenlit the initiative.

Personally scouting talent show contenders, he chose Maron Namikaze after witnessing her extraordinary strength. Upon recruiting her, he became her manager and combat instructor, directing her training and missions. He strategically timed Maron’s debut to intercept a Demon Seed heist targeting precious artifacts at a department store.

After Maron’s initial victory halted Demon Seed’s operations, he pivoted to building her full-time idol career, orchestrating TV spots and promotions with his team’s support. He later favored her music awards attendance over addressing a fresh Demon Seed threat, banking on forecasted weather to prevent the attack. When Maron left the ceremony to engage Demon Seed, ensuing battle damage drew public condemnation toward him.

His collaboration with Dr. Ryouhei Shimokobe frayed over clashing agendas; Shimokobe resisted prioritizing Maron’s singing over her anti-crime duties. Hattori nurtured a steadfast bond with Maron, celebrated by a group photo at her graduation—a moment Shimokobe interrupted. The character took partial inspiration from Masami Yuki’s then-current manga editor.
