J. David Brimmer is an American voice actor and fight choreographer known for his extensive work in anime dubbing and animated series. He has also been credited under the names David J. Brimmer and Michael Alston Baley. His career in voice acting has involved collaborations with numerous studios, including 4Kids Entertainment, Central Park Media, DuArt Film and Video, NYAV Post, and TAJ Productions.

Brimmer's voice acting portfolio includes a wide range of roles in English-language dubs of anime. One of his notable later roles is Lambert in the 2019 fully computer-animated feature film Lupin III: The First, the first film in the long-running franchise to be made in CGI. His work in the anime industry also encompasses roles from earlier decades, such as Hattori in the 1989 OVA Assemble Insert, which was dubbed into English in 2001. He is also recognized for voicing Lt. Makoto Yamamoto, the first officer of the spaceship Soyokaze, in both the television series and OVA sequel of The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. Another example of his work from this period is the role of Crush Bomber in the anime film Space Travelers.

In addition to these roles, Brimmer has voiced characters in several prominent and long-running anime series. He is known for providing the voice of the villainous Crocodile in the 4Kids Entertainment adaptation of One Piece. His other credits include Nosferatu Zodd in Berserk, various characters in the Pokémon anime such as Crasher Wake and Wulfric, and Suberoa Zinnerman in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. His work also extends to series like Yu-Gi-Oh!, where he voiced Odion, and Shaman King, providing voices for Mosuke and Bason.

Parallel to his voice acting career, Brimmer is a highly accomplished fight choreographer with decades of experience in theater. His choreography has been featured in productions ranging from the national tour of Jekyll & Hyde to the Broadway musical Spring Awakening. He is the creator and an instructor of the stage combat program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and has taught at other prestigious institutions, including the Yale School of Drama. He is a former president of the New York Fight Ensemble and a Fight Master with the Society of American Fight Directors.
