Ikuyo Suzuki is the 17-year-old head of the Hanaukyo estate's Technology Department. A maid distinguished by her thick glasses and a frequently sly, mischievous expression, her primary specialization is mechanics and the creation of unusual inventions, which have a noted tendency to explode or malfunction in amusing ways.

She is also an otaku. This is demonstrated when she guides several other characters to the Comic Market in Tokyo, bringing along her own self-made doujinshi, an event that included numerous nods to other anime series.

Within the estate, Ikuyo is considered one of Taro's friends. She often teases other characters; for instance, she teased Ryuuka Jihiou about her feelings for Taro, causing Ryuuka to blush furiously while in denial. A notable physical gag involves Ikuyo turning her head around 360 degrees.

She participated in a chain of people with Taro and Ryuuka after they fell over a cliff in an underground dungeon beneath the mansion. On a separate occasion, she interrupted a moment between Taro and Mariel by running in and yelling. She also made a meta-commentary about the nature of traps in a dungeon, likening them to unimaginative producers.
