Description
Deep Mirror, later unveiled as Red, operates as Queen Mirage’s enigmatic adviser in the Phantom Empire, manifesting as a sentient mirror housing a shadowy humanoid figure with glowing red eyes and a silhouette mirroring his younger brother Blue. This guise enables covert manipulation of events as he surveils global Pretty Cure activities, relaying intelligence to Mirage through his reflective surface. His true identity surfaces as the fallen ruler of the obliterated Red Planet and mastermind behind the Phantom Empire’s invasion, driven by bitter envy toward Blue, who safeguarded Earth while Red’s world collapsed.

Red’s striking appearance contrasts Blue’s: crimson spiked hair, pallid complexion, and attire transitioning from a black sweater and red pants to a dark crimson suit paired with a billowing violet cloak in battle. Ruthless and cunning, his persona is steeped in resentment over his planet’s destruction, fueling his crusade to impose parallel suffering on Blue by corrupting Earth. He puppeteers Mirage by twisting her history with Blue, implanting red crystals in her chest to magnify her hatred and dominate her choices.

Red zeroes in on Cure Lovely, aiming to warp her into Mirage’s successor by exploiting her emotional fragility. His machinations intensify when he implants a red crystal into Seiji, Lovely’s childhood friend, transforming him into a weapon against the Pretty Cures. The conflict peaks as Red ensnares most of the team in mirrors, isolating Lovely for a solo duel. Here, he unveils his tragic past: his planet’s annihilation bred bitterness, while Blue’s triumph in nurturing Earth stoked his spite.

Lovely’s steadfast faith in love—amplified by worldwide solidarity during her Forever Lovely metamorphosis—compels Red to face his misdirected wrath. This clash sparks his redemption, as he accepts the legitimacy of love and hope. Post-defeat, he reconciles with Blue and Mirage, joining them to restore the Red Planet. His powers include projecting distant events via his mirror form, implanting control crystals, and crafting unique Saiarks that circumvent environmental shifts common among Phantom Empire forces.

Red’s journey pivots from vengeance to rebirth, embodying the narrative’s focus on reconciliation and communal healing. His bond with Blue shifts from rivalry to partnership, resolving their fraternal strife through empathy and united goals.
