Movie
Description
Glassun is a fairy character who appears as the partner of Cure Fortune, also known as Hikawa Iona, in the anime film Eiga HappinessCharge PreCure! Ningyō no Kuni no Ballerina. Her design is reminiscent of a small, panda-like creature, distinguished by a bright lavender curl on her head. She wears a matching lavender dress and accessorizes with a deep lilac bag. Her most notable feature is a pair of purple sunglasses, which she typically keeps perched on top of her head, only occasionally sliding them down over her eyes.

Glassun has a personality that blends a generally friendly nature with a distinct, rough-around-the-edges attitude. She often strikes poses associated with a tough character, such as folding her arms or crossing her legs while flying to mimic leaning against a wall. This "delinquent" persona is most strongly reflected in her manner of speaking. Despite being female, Glassun uses the masculine personal pronoun "ore" and often ends her sentences with masculine-sounding particles like "-ze" and "-zo". She also has a habit of giving other characters nicknames, such as calling the princess Shirayuki Hime "ohime-chan" and addressing most other girls as "Ojou-chan". This tough exterior can soften during moments of genuine worry or seriousness, revealing her deeper care for those around her.

In the movie, Glassun acts as a mentor and a source of steadfast support for her partner, Cure Fortune. She is shown complimenting Iona's appearance in a dress and inviting her to dance, a gesture that underscores the close and affectionate bond they share. Her primary motivation is to assist and protect Iona, having previously served as the partner to Iona's older sister, Cure Tender. This history as Cure Tender's partner gives Glassun a deep admiration for the previous Cure and provides her with a wealth of experience. Her role is not just as a companion in battle but also as a grounding presence. Possessing a calm judgment and common sense, she often tries to prevent Iona from acting too rashly, especially when Iona's personal quest for revenge clouds her judgment.

Glassun's key relationships extend beyond Cure Fortune. She shares a long-standing friendship with Ribbon, another fairy, as they both originated from the Blue Sky Kingdom. They are frequently depicted spending time together and share a mutual and vigilant distrust toward the character Phantom. Her past as Cure Tender's partner is a significant part of her background, and she holds the previous Cure in high esteem.

Throughout the film and her broader appearances, Glassun demonstrates several notable abilities. She is responsible for producing and managing the PreCards that Cure Fortune uses to fight. She also has the ability to sense the appearance of the villainous Saiarks, an ability she seemed to have difficulty with in the television series but masters by the time of the film. In battle, she can support the Cures by generating protective barriers to defend against enemy attacks. Her development is shown in her growing confidence in her partner's strength; she remains unflappable even in desperate situations, built on a deep trust in Cure Fortune's ability to do what is necessary to win. Upon reuniting with a safe but exhausted Iona after a particularly dangerous fight, her tough demeanor breaks as she bursts into tears, pounding her partner's chest and calling her a fool for worrying her so much.
