Description
Takao Oigami, a member of Ghost Trailer specializing in Evasive Magic, cuts a distinctive figure with his tall, fit build and dark orange hair. This hair is styled in a long, straight ponytail extending past his waist, featuring spiked sections and bangs that partially obscure his face. He typically wears a sleeveless black shirt and dark green pants secured by an oversized black belt, though he temporarily adopts the Wizard Brace uniform during periods of memory alteration.

Initially battle-lusting and confrontational, particularly toward rival Takeshi Nanase due to their shared swordsmanship and Evasive Magic skills, Takao projects a harsh exterior. Yet he reveals deeper complexity through protective actions, most notably toward Kurumi Isoshima. This caring dimension emerges during his memory-altered phase within Wizard Brace, where he forms a close bond with Kurumi, addressing her familiarly and later gifting her a protective red stone.

His history remains largely undisclosed prior to joining Ghost Trailer. Key events include his capture by Subaru Magic Academy alongside Hotaru Kumagai, leading to rewritten memories and temporary allegiance to Wizard Brace. During this time, his growing attachment to Kurumi creates tension with Takeshi. Returned to Ghost Trailer in a hostage exchange for Tsuganashi Aiba, Takao deduces the memory tampering upon recalling inconsistencies, and his memories are subsequently restored.

In combat, Takao employs Expert Swordsmanship, wielding a large sword that likely functions as his magical Aspect. His signature technique, "Outrider," delivers swift, bisecting strikes. His Ancestral Magic, Sword Magic, includes the ability "Vanish Cloud," channeled through his blade.

Relationships define significant arcs: his rivalry with Takeshi Nanase centers on their comparable skills, evolving from hostility toward reluctant respect after Takeshi aids Kurumi's escape attempts; his connection to Kurumi Isoshima transcends initial antagonism, marked by genuine concern and a symbolic gift; his dynamic with fellow Ghost Trailer member Hotaru Kumagai fluctuates between camaraderie and harshness, especially during memory confusion.
