Description
Asmodai, a demon lord linked to the 《72 Pillars》 archetype, humorously favors indoor settings due to a 2000-year sealing. Serving as Tetsuya Kurodake's primary buddy monster within a Magic World deck centered on the 72 Pillars, Asmodai partners with Tetsuya as Team Tetsu & Dai for the ABC Cup. They later join Team Balle Du Soleil for the Gaen Cup, actively supporting Tetsuya's ambition to rule the Magic World.

In combat, Asmodai and Tetsuya incorporate dance and rap, executing breakdancing and hip-hop maneuvers. Their deck mechanics trigger effects upon entering the field, demanding cost payments for play or activation. During the Gaen Cup semifinals, Tetsuya deliberately amplified his playful demeanor as a tactical diversion while collaborating with Baku Omori to construct a new deck for Gao Mikado. This maneuver also bolstered team morale after Tasuku Ryuenji's exposure as Purgatory Knight.

Asmodai aids Tetsuya in Buddy Police investigations. During one inquiry into Omni Lords-related disturbances, an individual misidentifies Asmodai as the "Second Omni Lord," presenting alleged evidence. A pivotal narrative moment occurs when Tetsuya's romantic interest Terumi suffers memory erasure by Sofia; Asmodai witnesses Tetsuya's emotional collapse upon receiving an offer to forfeit his match for information about Terumi's past, nearly succumbing to despair.

Following the Disaster arc, Asmodai continues accompanying Tetsuya as he advances through the Buddy Police ranks in subsequent storylines.
