Lucas Gilbertson is a Canadian voice actor who began his career in 2001 at the age of fourteen after his sister, actress and singer Onalea Gilbertson, informed him of open auditions at Blue Water Studios. He secured his first voice acting role in a Gundam anime just two weeks after auditioning. Gilbertson is best known for providing the English voice of Zero in the Mega Man X series, including the video games Mega Man X8, Mega Man X: Command Mission, and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. His extensive filmography in anime dubs includes roles such as Hanzo in Hunter x Hunter, Shigeshige Tokugawa in Gintama°, Hajime Tenga in Kiznaiver, and Yajirobe in the Blue Water dub of Dragon Ball. He has also voiced Antares in Scan2Go, Chao Lee in D.I.C.E., Gen Nakamura in Doki Doki School Hours, and the character of Asmodai across multiple Future Card Buddyfight series, including Future Card Buddyfight, Future Card Buddyfight X: All-Star Fight, and Future Card Buddyfight 100. In the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise, he is credited with the role of Katsumi Morikawa. His voice work also extends to video games, with credits including the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam series as Johnny Ridden and Knight Gundam, and as Benji in LBX: Little Battlers eXperience. Beyond performance, Gilbertson married fellow voice actress Carol-Anne Day in late 2020, and together they founded a Calgary-based production company called the Hermit Collective to create opportunities for local performers. In 2020, he also began working as a video game developer on a project titled LampBlack. With over two decades of experience, Gilbertson and his wife have since expanded their expertise into facial motion capture technology and independent game and animation production. He has also pursued interests outside of voice acting, including painting and playing in an alt-rock band.
