Description
Azi Dahaka operates as a primary antagonist across multiple seasons. First emerging as a hidden manipulator within Aibo Academy, he masterminds the theft of Photon Metal and commands battle arenas where monsters fight for his army. His true form manifests as a massive, gray three-headed dragon adorned with fuchsia accents, blade-like protrusions, red eyes, and shadowy wings. He later forms a bond with Kyoya Gaen, becoming the boy's buddy monster.

His full power erupts in Season 1 during Kyoya's duel against Gao Mikado. Summoned, Azi Dahaka annihilates Gao's field and reduces him to a single life point, declaring his name signifies destruction and the erasure of history. His own destruction triggers a warning of the world's end, enabling Kyoya to equip the Demonic Demise Sword, Aqulta Gwaneff. He resurfaces briefly in Season 2 during an attempt to control Yamigedo, resulting in both himself and Kyoya being petrified.

Season 3 marks his resurgence as a central foe. His past conflict with Black Death Dragon Abygale is unveiled: he previously defeated Abygale, tearing out his right eye in his quest for the strongest dragons. He mocks Abygale's subsequent growth before acknowledging him as a clone crafted from his own genetic material, addressing him as "my son." In battle, he evolves into the "Great Demonic Dragon of Demise, Azi Dahaka," gaining light blue coloration, extended wings, and enhanced attack capabilities, including consecutive strikes. Defeated by Abygale, he transforms further into the "Black Sky Sun Dragon, Azi Dahaka Daeva," becoming the largest dragon from Darkness Dragon World. This ultimate form boasts five heads (including heads on his wings and torso), elongated horns and fangs, four legs, and a more sinister, deity-like visage.

His personality centers on supremacy and destruction. He proclaims himself the embodiment of order, asserting that none can oppose him and that his existence heralds the world's end. A sadistic streak surfaces as he interprets defeats as omens of his opponents' demise. His relationship with Kyoya, built on mutual ambition, is fractured by hidden agendas; Azi Dahaka observes that Kyoya's refusal to fully share his plans prevents their shared goal—godhood through Project Triple D—from succeeding.
