Description
Rōga Aragami begins as an eighth-grade student at Aibo Academy, reigning as its top Buddyfighter. His rigidly serious demeanor and fixation on victory stem from a poverty-stricken childhood where survival demanded emotional detachment. He dismissively labels weaker opponents "bait" to attract worthier challengers, yet fiercely upholds honor—publicly condemning cheating like rigged "Hate Cards" as dishonorable shortcuts.

Operating under the alias "Wolf" for Disaster, he activates a Dark Core Deck Case to assume an altered appearance: long silver hair, a dark purple eye mask, and black coat. Embracing Disaster Force’s destructive power, he shows reckless disregard for opponents’ safety. His Danger World deck, centered on aggressive life-reduction tactics with cards like Hysteric Spear, relies on Armorknight Cerberus. After Gao Mikado defeats him in a single humiliating turn, Rōga abandons Aibo Academy, fueling a vengeful obsession with Gao.

At Sengoku Academy, his appearance shifts—unkempt trench coat and naturally long hair—while his deck evolves toward overwhelming aggression. Armorknight Cerberus "A" boosts weapon critical values to secure one-turn victories. He recruits fighters like Kemura for the Gaen Cup, unexpectedly mentoring them to prioritize honorable combat. During his finals clash with Gao, Rōga begins valuing the battle’s thrill over mere victory, signaling a profound shift.

Blind loyalty to Disaster leader Kyoya Gaen—his only childhood "friend"—drives his actions. When opponents challenge this devotion during the Gaen Cup, Rōga confronts Kyoya, urging him to abandon destructive plans. Kyoya reveals their bond was manipulation and discards him as useless. This betrayal shatters Rōga, compelling him to aid in thwarting Kyoya’s schemes and initiate his departure from villainy.

Later, he allies with former rival Kiri Hyōryū and develops grudging respect for Gao, acknowledging him as a true rival. His deck evolves: during the "Hundred" arc, he integrates Eighth Omni Deity Lord, Grangadez, displaying tactical flexibility despite aggressive openings that risk vulnerability. By "Triple D," he wields a "Tyrant" deck focused on Fang Spear Axe, Ogar Demon Slay, and the evolved Violence Gazer Cerberus.

Kyoya manipulates him into a "Triple D" Buddyfight, forcing Rōga’s return to Disaster if defeated. After an offscreen loss, he reluctantly resumes the "Wolf" persona, donning the mask again under duress. Despite this regression, he later aids the Omni Lords’ mission to seal the demon Yamigedo, revealing persistent protective instincts. His dynamic with Kiri solidifies into mutual respect following Kiri’s Omni Lord revelation.
