Description
Elena Himekawa is a 14-year-old idol and puzzle genius who appears in the series Phi-Brain - Puzzle of God. She is affiliated with the mysterious organization P.O.G., an acronym for Puzzle of God, where she holds the title Antoinette. Her birthday is July 5.

In terms of appearance, Elena has bright pink, waist-length hair with bangs swept to the left side and matching pink eyes. Her initial outfit consists of a black skirt with a white shirt, a black necktie, and a matching black jacket. Following her character development, her attire changes to a pink shirt, purple skirt, light blue jacket, black stockings, and brown shoes.

Elena initially presents herself as an arrogant, cold, and selfish individual, embodying a "cold princess" persona on her popular television program, Puzzle Kingdom. She refuses to work on tasks that do not please her and displays a mean attitude towards her opponents. Furthermore, she openly expresses disdain for people who have friends, including the show's protagonist Kaito Daimon and his companions. This harsh exterior, however, masks deep loneliness. Elena feels isolated because she has no friends, and her competitive drive and desire to be number one stem from a need for attention and validation. Her childhood involved her mother encouraging her to become important, and she became obsessed with puzzles after discovering that excelling in this field attracted her mother's attention, eventually evolving from a poor solver into a creator of puzzles.

Elena's primary role in the story is that of a "giver" for P.O.G., tasked with creating new and deadly challenges for Kaito Daimon to solve. She orchestrates life-threatening puzzles, such as a car-based sliding puzzle where participants must escape before a falling truck crushes them. After being defeated by Kaito on two separate occasions, her role shifts significantly. She transitions from an antagonist to a supporting character who occasionally assists Kaito's allies, ultimately transferring to Root Academy and becoming closer to the main group.

Her most significant key relationship is with fellow solver Gammon Sakanoue. Elena harbors romantic feelings for Gammon and accidentally confesses them in front of Kaito and Nonoha Itou. Her concern for him becomes a major motivation, as she worries deeply when Gammon decides to join P.O.G. and urges Kaito and Nonoha to help change him back. Their dynamic is described as a mutual tsundere relationship, where both have difficulty openly expressing their affection but are consistently there for one another when needed.

Elena undergoes notable character development throughout the series. Her defeat by Kaito serves as a catalyst for a dramatic personality shift, transforming her from an arrogant antagonist into a more approachable, cheerful, and friendly individual. She learns to understand what is truly important in life, particularly the value of friendship, which she previously hated and envied. As part of this development, Gammon begins calling her by her real name, Elena, rather than her title, marking a significant step in their relationship.

Regarding her notable abilities, Elena is recognized as a genius who designs and projects all of the puzzles used on her television program. Her skills are such that even puzzle fanatics respect her work, and she is capable of creating intricate, life-endangering challenges for the protagonist to solve.
