Description
Flit Asuno entered the world on the day called "The Day the Angel Fell," the very day the Unknown Enemies, or UE, first attacked the human colony Angel. When he was seven years old, the UE assaulted his home colony of Ovan, resulting in the death of his mother. With her last breath, she entrusted him with the Asuno family's AGE Device, which held the blueprints for a legendary mobile suit, the Gundam. This moment forged his resolve to build that Gundam and dedicate his life to defending humanity from the UE—later revealed to be humans from Mars known as Vagan.

Moving to the colony Nora, Flit began developing the Gundam AGE-1 using the AGE Device. His engineering skill earned him recognition from the Earth Federation, and he was appointed lead engineer for the Gundam project. When the UE attacked Nora, he piloted the Gundam AGE-1 for the first time, repelling the invaders. In the midst of the battle, he saved Yurin L’Ciel, though the colony was tragically destroyed. He escaped aboard the warship Diva with his friends Emily Amonde and Dique Gunhale.

Serving as a pilot for the Earth Federation Forces, Flit fought beside ace pilot Woolf Enneacle. Through countless battles, he honed extraordinary combat instincts identified as X-Rounder abilities—genetic traits granting heightened spatial awareness and precognitive reflexes that made him exceptionally effective in combat. During a conflict at Ambat fortress, he encountered Yurin again, now piloting the Vagan mobile suit Farsia. She sacrificed herself to save him, a loss that shattered Flit and hardened his vow to eradicate the Vagan, whatever their origins.

Over the next 25 years, Flit rose through the ranks of the Earth Federation Forces, achieving the position of Vice Admiral and later Commander-in-Chief. He married Emily Amonde, and they had two children: Asemu and Yunoa. Stationed at the Military Orbital Station "Big Ring," he commanded operations against the Vagan. Bitter from Yurin’s death and years of war, he grew increasingly ruthless, often prioritizing maximum damage to Vagan forces. He guided his son Asemu and grandson Kio to become Gundam pilots, intending to continue his crusade.

Flit’s command style and strategic insight were marked by effectiveness, often developed alongside his aide Algreus. Despite his age, he occasionally piloted the AGE-1 Gundam, combining experience and X-Rounder abilities to remain a potent combatant. His relationship with Asemu grew strained when Asemu faked his death to join the Bisidian space pirates, leading Flit to disown him, if only temporarily.

In the war’s final phase, Flit planned to destroy the Vagan fortress "Second Moon" using Plasma Diver Missiles, a move that would have caused catastrophic casualties. He was persuaded by Asemu and Kio to abandon this plan and instead seek peace—a profound shift from his lifelong pursuit of vengeance. After the war, he was celebrated as a hero who helped unite humanity and contributed to the terraforming of Mars using technology derived from the AGE System.

In the OVA "Memory of Eden," which recompiles the second generation arc, Flit’s role is streamlined to emphasize the rivalry between Asemu and Zeheart Galette. He appears as a high-ranking commander who gives Asemu the AGE Device and the Gundam AGE-1 on his seventeenth birthday, stressing the mission to protect loved ones and oppose the Vagan. His portrayal leans less on personal tragedy and more on his military duties and influence over Asemu’s journey.
