OVA
Description
Zeheart Galette awakens from cold sleep as a Vagan soldier for Operation Eden, the mission to achieve Vagan's return to Earth. His calm and reserved exterior conceals fierce loyalty to leader Fezarl Ezelcant and the cause of securing Mars colonists' future. This dedication drives him to undertake espionage, infiltrating Colony Tordia disguised as a transfer student. In the original TV series, his objective is locating and gathering intelligence on the Gundam; in the Memory of Eden OVA, his mission shifts to destroying the colony outright. During this infiltration, he befriends Asemu Asuno and Romary Stone, forming genuine bonds that later clash with his duties.

Zeheart possesses potent X-Rounder abilities, granting heightened reflexes, predictive senses, and combat awareness. However, most mobile suits cannot handle his reaction speed, forcing him to use a mask-like limiter device while piloting. This changes when he boards the specialized Xvm-zgc Zeydra, which partially accommodates his abilities with the mask, and later the xvm-fzc Gundam Legilis, which fully synchronizes with his X-Rounder potential, eliminating the limiter. His piloting skills make him a formidable opponent, capable of matching veterans like Flit Asuno, and he demonstrates tactical acumen as a commander during operations like the assault on Big Ring.

His relationship with Asemu becomes central to his character arc. Despite their opposing sides, Zeheart repeatedly spares Asemu in battle, urging him to abandon fighting due to perceived gentleness. This conflict peaks during an unsanctioned meeting in Solon City (retained in Memory of Eden), where Zeheart attempts to kill Asemu for obstructing Vagan's goals but fails when Romary intervenes. Memory of Eden adds layers to this dynamic with new school life scenes: participating in a Peter Pan play (foreshadowing his cold sleep and rivalry), collaborative moments in the Mobile Suit Club, and a shared stargazing trip where Zeheart teaches a Vagan lullaby. These additions emphasize their fractured bond and Zeheart's internal struggle between friendship and duty.

Zeheart's loyalty to Ezelcant hardens over time, leading him to abandon allies hindering Operation Eden, including his brother Desil Galette. Promoted to Commander of the Earth Occupation Force, he grows increasingly ruthless, exemplified by sanctioning the sacrifice of fellow Vagan forces. After Asemu's disappearance, Zeheart fully embraces his role as Vagan's weapon, discarding humanity and emotions to achieve Eden. In his final battle against Asemu (piloting the AGE-2 Dark Hound) and Kio Asuno, he pilots the Gundam Legilis with reckless brutality. Memory of Eden extends this confrontation with new animation and dialogue, culminating in Zeheart's defeat. In his last moments, he reconnects with his humanity, expressing happiness at seeing Asemu one final time before perishing in his mobile suit's explosion.
