Kōta Asahina is a student in Class 2-5 at Kamui Daimon Comprehensive Academy and serves as the LBX mechanic for Jenock's Third Platoon. He first appears when introduced by Reina Mito alongside Arata Sena and Hikaru Hoshihara. Later, he observes Sakuya ranking fifth in silver credits earned, expressing appreciation for the recognition given to Jenock's mechanics. When new platoon members Takao and Yuuji join, Kōta overhears their discussion with Arata, Hikaru, and Yuno regarding the Third Platoon's reputation; he interjects to reassure them the platoon is fine as it is. Subsequently, Rikuya confides in Kōta about Arata, leading Kōta to agree that Arata can be difficult to handle, with both acknowledging the challenges involved. Kōta pilots the LBX model DC Braver and specializes in Brawler Frame armor manufacturing. His technical expertise includes proficiency with Knight, Strider, Brawler, and Wild armor frames, with Brawler and Wild frames at level 15. Recruited after completing the mission "Black Wind Camp," he joins at level 20 with an SC cost of 12,700. He remains the only member of the Third Platoon who does not become LOST.
