Description
Komachi Shinoda, an elementary school student and classmate of Kou Sawatari, nurtures a fierce rivalry with Norie Okazaki over their shared affection for him. Convinced Norie’s sway over Kou is harmful, Komachi shadows Norie’s actions and provokes clashes, fueling a tense relationship defined by competition. To divert Kou’s focus, she relentlessly hones her pastry-making abilities, mirroring Norie’s culinary ambitions, and strategically adopts photography to outshine Fuu Sawatari’s artistic pursuits, striving to produce sharper, more compelling images.

A childhood friend of Kou, Komachi’s boldness often manifests as cheeky defiance toward older peers, particularly Norie, who scoffs at her as a “crazy elementary schooler.” Her rivalry extends beyond vying for Kou’s attention, channeled into proving her prowess in fields dominated by her competitors, from baking to visual artistry. This unyielding drive spotlights her stubborn resolve, anchored in both her fondness for Kou and a hunger to cement her relevance within his world.

Though her personal history remains unexplored, Komachi actively participates in school projects and town events central to the series’ backdrop. Her role persists as a secondary yet pivotal figure, instigating humorous friction through clashes with Kou and Norie. While her character avoids profound evolution, subtle advancements in her culinary and photographic skills punctuate her journey, preserving her identity as a mischievous yet earnest adversary driven by rivalry and self-validation.
