Ryō Hirohashi is a Japanese voice actress born on August 5, 1977, in Niigata Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. Hirohashi graduated from the literature department of Ryukoku University, where she studied Buddhist teachings. Her interest in voice acting began during her university years when she recalled a radio show she listened to in junior high school and realized the host was a voice actor. This led her to enroll in the Aoni Coaching School Osaka while continuing her studies. After graduating from the 16th class of the school, she made her debut as a voice actress in 2002 with a role in the anime Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution.

Hirohashi is known for her versatility, frequently voicing both young female characters and young boys. Her voice acting portfolio includes a wide range of anime television series, films, and video games. One of her most internationally recognized roles is providing the Japanese voice of Miles "Tails" Prower in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, a character she has voiced since the 2003 game Sonic Heroes and the anime series Sonic X.

Her extensive anime work includes major roles across multiple popular series. She played Alice Carroll in the Aria franchise, including the Aria the Animation, Aria the Natural, and Aria the Origination television series, as well as subsequent films and OVAs. She voiced Koyuki Azumaya in the long-running Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunsō) series and its films. In the action series My Hero Academia, she is the voice of Minoru Mineta, a recurring role that spans multiple seasons and theatrical films. She also portrayed Kyō Fujibayashi in the acclaimed drama series Clannad and Clannad After Story.

Beyond these signature roles, Hirohashi has contributed to many other notable series. She played Sora Naegino in Kaleido Star, Tamaki Kawazoe in Bamboo Blade, and Aoi Yamada in the Wagnaria!! (Working!!) series. Her film work includes roles in the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal and Sailor Moon Cosmos movies as Luna, and in the Japanese dubs of the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog films as Tails. Her video game credits are extensive, featuring characters such as Shirley Fennes in Tales of Legendia, Pandoria in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Hina Sorasaki in Blue Archive, and Jessica in Arknights. She also voiced Rakka, the protagonist of the atmospheric series Haibane Renmei.

Throughout her career, Hirohashi has maintained several recurring collaborations with specific franchises, most notably the Sonic the Hedgehog games and the Aria and My Hero Academia series. Her voice is recognized across generations of anime and game fans, and she continues to be active in the industry, appearing in recent works such as the 2024 film Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom as Haro and the 2025 film Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga.
