Description
Maon Sakurada is a high school student central to the narrative, originally from Osaki-Shiomachi Island in Mitarai where her family runs a ryokan. As the only child, questions lingered about her potential succession of the family business. To overcome pronounced shyness and social difficulties, she moved to Takehara during middle school, living in an apartment managed by one of her aunts.

Initially struggling to connect, Maon found her first friend in Takehara, Norie Okazaki. Through Norie, she gradually joined the friend group with Fuu Sawatari and Kaoru Hanawa. It was later discovered that Maon, Fuu, Kaoru, and Norie had actually met briefly as kindergarteners at Shiomichi, though all were too young to remember this initial encounter clearly.

Deeply reserved, Maon often communicates through whistling instead of speech. She possesses a strong appreciation for music, frequently listening to it and playing the ocarina. Her creative interests shifted through phases like manga artistry, puppetry, and magic. By the events of *More Aggressive*, she began focusing these varied interests toward an aspiration to become a writer and storyteller.

Within her circle, Maon represents the sense of hearing, reflecting her musicality and auditory expression. Visually, she is recognized by her black hair in a hime cut with blunt bangs and her frequent choice of a pink sweater over the standard long-sleeved school blouse. Her story shows a gradual increase in confidence and social engagement, particularly through participation in Fuu's photography club activities and deepening bonds within the group. She maintains relationships with family involved in the ryokan business and her aunt in Takehara, reflecting ties to both her birthplace and adopted hometown.
