Description
Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich, dubbed the Tiger of Koto, is a weathered former hunter and childhood companion of Hampnie Hambart. Haunted by the death of his wife to illness—later destroyed by Hampnie to spare her from lingering among the deceased—and the subsequent loss of their daughter, Julie’s life fractures into a single-minded quest for vengeance. Beneath his hardened exterior lies a gentle, empathetic soul, his tenderness often cloaked by a steely, unreadable composure.
Once fixated on dueling Hampnie, Julie redirects his purpose after the man’s demise, channeling grief into guardianship. He becomes a steadfast protector to Ai Astin, guiding her with paternal devotion. His journey intertwines with Scar, a gravekeeper, as their partnership deepens through shared trials, particularly their mutual care for Celica Hecmatika, an infant suspended in time whom Scar embraces as her own.
Julie’s rugged appearance—short, tousled brown hair, a goatee, and a weathered gray-brown coat—mirrors his pragmatic resilience. His rifle, once a tool of retribution, transforms into a shield for those he cherishes. Through bonds with Ai and Scar, he sheds solitary fury for collective purpose, weaving threads of redemption and makeshift kinship. Though scarred by past anguish, his later years are defined by vigilant loyalty, shielding his newfound family from the echoes of his own shattered history.
