Description
Sachiyo Matsuda manages Matsuda Heights, a Tachikawa apartment complex housing Buddha and Jesus during their Japanese stay. She maintains strict order with rigorous enforcement of house rules and firm control over tenants and property. Her appearance features short grey hair, wrinkles, and a distinctive beauty mark beneath her right eye.

Her personality is straightforward and stern, often appearing crabby or in a perpetually bad mood, especially when confronting rule violations. She governs through a detailed set of regulations—originally nine, later expanded to ten—demanding unwavering compliance from residents. Beneath this strict exterior lies genuine kindness: she regularly checks on Buddha and Jesus, delivers home-cooked meals, and shows flexibility toward tenants she deems genuinely considerate.

Initial skepticism over unusual rumors nearly led her to reject Buddha and Jesus' rental application. She relented only after receiving a three-month rent advance and high-quality green tea containing gold leaf. She remains suspicious of their unconventional lifestyles, particularly their lack of visible employment, and consistently misinterprets their divine abilities as mere luck or eccentric habits rather than supernatural traits.

Her character appears in manga chapters 5, 10, 17, 20, and 27, typically enforcing rules, interacting with protagonists, or delivering food.
