Description
Akaspetchi occupies the middle position in the Spacy Brothers trio, situated between Spacytchi and Pipospetchi. His name combines "akai" (red) and "supe/supe" (space), directly reflecting his thematic connection and physical design. He possesses a distinctive red, tear-shaped body, oval blue eyes without visible pupils, and a permanent four-toothed smile. His limbs feature white legs and light gray arms ending in mitten-like hands, topped by a small gold sphere on his head.
Personality-wise, Akaspetchi blends intelligence and maturity, frequently offering reasoned input during the trio's schemes. Yet, he is highly prone to panic, especially concerning supernatural phenomena, fueled by mistaking fictional television for reality. This trait often irritates Spacytchi, who addresses him as "Aka". Despite conflicts, Spacytchi generally respects Akaspetchi's perspectives. His speech includes ending sentences with "de yansu" and using "Aniki" for Spacytchi.
Throughout the Tamagotchi anime, Akaspetchi participates in Spacytchi's recurring, ultimately failed plots to conquer Tamagotchi Planet, usually derailed by cultural misunderstandings or Spacytchi's errors. Key storylines involve racing on Tama Street to gain attention for their takeover plan, though the crowd ignores their victory; enrolling in Tamagotchi School where he hysterically theorized about mass disappearances during Roll on the Floor Day; working at a department store to earn Santaclautchi's favor, resulting in shared rewards after assisting Mametchi; opposing then supporting Spacytchi's crush on Agetchi, and comforting him after her rejection; experiencing their hideout's accidental launch into space and collaborating with Tama-friends for a safe return; and initially leaving Tamagotchi Town after emotional attachments undermined their ambitions, but choosing to stay permanently when moved by friends' affection during Spacytchi's birthday celebration.
In *Yume Kira Dream*, Akaspetchi appears alongside his brothers within the Dream Town setting, continuing their established dynamic of comedic antagonism. Later series like *Miracle Friends* introduce romantic subplots, showing Akaspetchi developing a crush on Pekopekotchi. In *GO-GO Tamagotchi!*, his affection shifts to Neenetchi.
Beyond the anime, Akaspetchi features in multiple virtual pets: as a care-dependent character requiring six or more care mistakes in the *Tamagotchi iD L Princess Spacy* version; as an NPC in *Tamagotchi m!x*'s Spacy Land location; visible via the Aka Pipo Plushies item in *Tamagotchi Smart*'s Anniversary Party Friends TamaSma Card; and as an obstacle character in *Tamagotchi Uni*'s Tamamori Fashion Show★ minigame.
