Description
Chae Kyoung is a 15-16-year-old South Korean study-abroad student training as a Prism Star at Japan's Pretty Top Dance School. Standing 164 cm tall, she sports wavy dark blue hair, purple eyes, and a signature red bow accessory that shifts to white during performances, reflecting her dark blue theme and "Feminine" brand. Hailing from extreme wealth, she initially believes money solves most problems, exemplified by commissioning a diamond Dear Crown accessory. She frequently exclaims "Celebrity!" for impressive finds and uses "Gwenchana!" to reassure others. Despite her affluent background, Chae Kyoung possesses a fundamentally kind nature, enjoying celebrations, decorating, and helping others. Her fashion expertise leads her to assist in outfit design, including recreating Symphonia Series stones to counter the Symphonia Foundation.

Her mother, actress Myeong Ja, initially inspired Chae Kyoung to pursue acting. After winning a film audition, she faces a choice between acting and Prism Star careers, ultimately finding greater fulfillment in Prism Shows. She shares a positive relationship with her older brother, Yun-su, a Dear Crown fashion designer, often supporting his work. The families of Chae Kyoung and Serena Jounouchi (from Serenon with K) are business partners, resulting in their similar personalities and mutual familiarity.

Debuting in episode 6 as a member of the Korean Prism Star unit PURETTY, Chae Kyoung performs in coordinated outfits like the Dear Crown PURETTY Star Jacket set and Symphonia Dress of Sea. She covers the group's expenses due to her family's wealth. During training camps, she confronts PURETTY's flaws alongside teammates, displaying visible sadness while maintaining positivity. Her development involves learning teamwork's value beyond financial solutions, notably helping Ayami regain confidence by attending a magic show together, which strengthens their friendship. Chae Kyoung later asks Ayami if she "took a memo" of PURETTY's debut performance.

She performs in various events, including the Symphonia Summer Festival's second stage in a "Rhinestone Bare Top" coord and the Prism World Cup. Her evolving style is showcased in casual, Halloween, and seasonal coords such as "Summer Vacation Mini Marine" and "Monotone Stadium Jacket." Trivia notes she is the only PURETTY member whose name doesn't end with 'n'. Her real-life counterpart, Yoon Chae-kyung, transitioned from Puretty to groups like C.I.V.A, I.B.I, and April after Produce 101, though this remains separate from her animated storyline.
