Satomi Akesaka is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on January 2, 1988, in Saitama Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Amuleto. Her career in entertainment began in 2001 after winning an award in a magazine-sponsored contest, and she made her voice acting debut in 2004 with a role in the television anime Koi Kaze.

Over the years, Akesaka has built a prolific career, lending her voice to a wide array of characters across numerous anime series and video games. She is known for her performances as Hina Sato in Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono, Taeko Nomura in Coppelion, and Mutsuki Nakano in Danchigai. In the long-running franchise Pretty Rhythm, she voiced the characters Kanon Tōdō and Chae Kyoung across several series including Aurora Dream and Dear My Future. She also played the recurring role of Arsène / Henriette Mystere in the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes series.

Akesaka's versatility is evident in roles such as the villainous Esdeath in Akame ga Kill!, Chrome Dokuro in Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and as a voice actor in the experimental gdgd Fairies series. She has taken on leading roles like Makoto Ohno in Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater and Grace in Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, as well as supporting characters such as Rio Kurotori in Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation and Misato Akasaka in the Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise. Her filmography also includes Momoko Hyakushiki in Nanbaka, Rinko Shirokane in the BanG Dream! project, and Brocco-desu in Reiwa no Di Gi Charat.

In addition to anime, Akesaka has contributed her voice to many video games, including prominent titles such as Granblue Fantasy, Fate/Grand Order, and Arknights.

Akesaka was also a singer and musician. As part of the BanG Dream! multimedia project, she voiced the character Rinko Shirokane and performed as the keyboardist for the associated band, Roselia. In June 2018, she publicly announced that she would be retiring from her music career and leaving the band due to being diagnosed with sudden hearing loss. Despite this health challenge, she affirmed her commitment to continuing her work as a voice actress. She remains active in the industry, with roles in recent and upcoming anime series.
