Description
Gennosuke Araki, a first-year student at Ishigami High School, balances his role in the sumo club with a muscular frame honed through years of rigorous training. Standing 179 centimeters tall and weighing 86 kilograms, his imposing physique is accentuated by black hair shaved into precise lines across the crown and sides. A former national judo champion in middle school, he retains mastery of techniques like the Overhead Judo Throw, blending this expertise into his sumo practice.

Driven by ambitions to enter mixed martial arts, Araki views Kunisaki Chihiro as both a rival and a mirror, accusing him of replicating his career trajectory. Their rivalry ignites when Araki storms a dojo intending to challenge Hinomaru Ushio but instead clashes with Chihiro after a case of mistaken identity. Their subsequent hybrid-rules bout—a fusion of sumo and MMA—highlights Araki’s tactical adaptability as he weaves judo throws into sumo maneuvers, though the match concludes abruptly without a decisive victor.

A disciplinary suspension, disclosed during a preliminary tournament, temporarily halts Araki’s competitive pursuits. While the exact reasons and length remain undisclosed, the setback underscores his combative demeanor and relentless focus on transcending traditional sumo to forge an MMA career. This determination positions him as a foil to peers like Chihiro, each navigating parallel paths of ambition and self-reinvention.
