Description
Sanae Shikikagami, once a member of Hakureiryō Academy’s upper-ed class, now serves in the servant-ed division following her family’s financial collapse. Her older sister, Saori, retains her upper-ed status due to enrolling prior to their bankruptcy, leaving Sanae adrift in a role she struggles to navigate. Plagued by chronic clumsiness, her attempts at maid duties dissolve into chaos: trays upended, limbs entangled, or garments—her own or others’—abruptly displaced, often ensnaring Akiharu Hino in mortifying scenarios. These accidents spawn persistent rumors painting Akiharu as a deviant, though they stem solely from her hapless coordination.
Her ineptitude fuels a cycle of self-reproach and deepening pessimism, her inner voice branding her incapable of even mundane tasks. Anxiety shadows her every move, her reserved nature contrasting starkly with Saori’s bold, carefree demeanor. Routine interactions spiral into disaster—teacups cascading over uniforms, collisions sending peers sprawling—each incident amplifying her conviction of inadequacy.
Though unintended, her proximity to Akiharu locks them in a dance of public humiliation, his reputation fraying under the weight of her mishaps. Her narrative remains anchored to these comedic yet isolating blunders, perpetuating misunderstandings without respite or evolution.
