Mrs. Amanokawa is a member of the Amanokawa family, married to Dr. Ippei Amanokawa and mother to Sayako Amanokawa, a journalism-focused high school student, and her younger son, Shunta Amanokawa. She appears during family events, notably when Shunta battles a severe illness caused by demonic possession. Despite her husband's medical skills, Dr. Amanokawa cannot cure Shunta. Mrs. Amanokawa is present as Taiyou Sorano, leader of the TSI group, arrives to perform the exorcism that frees Shunta from the demon, later revealed to be acting for Tousaku Arai of the Sonen religious group. Following Shunta's recovery, the family attends a festival celebration together.
