Description
Ken Inomata is a Kamihama City student and member of the Kamihama Kirumins detective group. His father runs Inomata Butchers, famous for its croquettes. Ken joined the Kirumins after accidentally discovering one of the last two Kirumin compacts in the Mikogami family attic during episode 4. Activating this compact transforms him into a mouse, making him the first known male Kirumin user and the group's final member.

He exhibits a headstrong, determined, and egotistical personality. Ken frequently proclaims himself leader of the Detective Club, adopting the self-styled title "The Great Kenlock Holmes." His competitive nature and stubbornness often spark conflicts, particularly with the similarly assertive Riko Mikogami, as both desire leadership. Despite frequent arguments, they maintain mutual respect and concern, demonstrated during perilous situations like being trapped together in a cave. His catchphrase, "One shot with guts!" (or simply "Guts!"), precedes enthusiastic actions.

Ken was initially dissatisfied with his mouse transformation, perceiving rats as unimpressive. This frustration severed his emotional connection to the animal, causing a temporary loss of his transformation ability. His power restored only after he re-embraced rats and acknowledged their value. His mouse form's small size proves advantageous for accessing confined spaces, though both his full transformation and "Costume Mode" retain this stature. Later, in episode 48, he exceeded the 99-minute animal transformation limit, resulting in a permanent shift into a farm mouse.

He faced significant challenges, including a Heroic Blue Screen of Death during episodes 38–40. This stemmed from his inability to achieve the "Kirubara effect" (evolution into a larger animal variant) and frustration at being limited to mouse transformations while others evolved into diverse species. His atrocious singing voice paradoxically attracts Kanon Hatori, who mistakes him for a bat Animalian.

Ken's closest bond is with his best friend Tamao Kijima. They collaborate on detective activities and basketball, with Tamao supporting him technologically as "Tamason." Ken harbors a secret crush on Nagisa Mikogami, Riko and Rimu's older sister, though he does not act on it. Nagisa occasionally leverages his perception of her dog form as "cute" to influence him. His dynamic with Riko balances rivalry with underlying loyalty, evident in cooperative problem-solving.

Ken holds the position of second leader within the Kamihama Kirumins and was the last member to attain the Kirubara evolution, achieving it in episode 48.
