TV-Series
Description
Beets is a low-class Saiyan engineer from Planet Vegeta, serving in a non-combat role within the Saiyan Army. His slim, skeletal frame features black hair, sharp cheekbones, and a tail. He wears a blue jumpsuit, wristbands, white boots, and armor resembling Vegeta's Androids Saga design. Unusually cowardly for a Saiyan, he avoids fights and shows constant wariness, especially on hostile worlds like Vampa, yet obeys Paragus loyally.

Assigned to Paragus's mission to retrieve Broly from exile on Vampa, Beets objects to stealing a spaceship but is dragged aboard during its unauthorized launch. After crash-landing damages the ship's floater, he reluctantly joins Paragus in searching for Broly, refusing to abandon them. Using his scout-scope, he detects Broly's power level of 920—far exceeding his own—highlighting his combat weakness. Paragus warns him that Vampa's near-full moon would trigger an uncontrollable Great Ape transformation, a state Beets had never experienced.

With survival supplies dwindling, Paragus executes Beets via a single shot from his ray gun to conserve resources for himself and Broly. This occurs shortly after their failed escape.

Beyond the film, Beets appears as a playable character in *Super Dragon Ball Heroes* (Universe Mission series), wielding a ray gun technique called "Break Shot." His in-game model omits his tail, contradicting his film depiction. He carries a scout-scope and the ray gun used in his death. No other media explores his story further.

Beets embodies Saiyan society's lower ranks, contrasting elite warriors like Vegeta. His existence underscores the brutal realities for non-combatant Saiyans and amplifies Paragus's desperation and Broly's isolation. His story remains confined to these contexts, with no resurrection or additional development in official lore.
