Description
Timothy Laisenbach, commonly called Tim, is a young German boy approximately six years old infected with the Medusa virus. Selected for the cryogenic sleep project at the Venus Gate facility as part of a group hoping to survive until a cure could be developed, his background involves family turmoil; his parents were engaged in a difficult divorce and custody battle over him prior to cryosleep, causing him significant distress.

Awakening prematurely in the overgrown and monster-infested facility, Tim becomes one of the survivors. Despite his young age, he demonstrates notable resilience and maturity, often contributing to the group's efforts in unexpected ways. He forms a profound bond with fellow survivor Katherine Turner, whom he views as a maternal figure and affectionately calls "Auntie." This relationship is prompted by Katherine's own regrets about failing her biological son, leading her to embrace a protective role toward Tim.

During escape attempts, Tim occasionally enters trance-like states, spacing out and leading others under the unseen influence of Alice Roznovski. These episodes guide the survivors to locations aligned with Alice's objectives before Tim returns to normal.

Later captured by Ron Portman, Tim undergoes a forced metamorphosis process intended to transform him into a beast soldier for Zeus' army. Marco Owen halts the procedure midway, leaving Tim with significant physical alterations: furry hair covering parts of his body, elongated canine teeth, a fur-covered arm ending in claws, and other beast-like features. These changes enable him to control one of the dragon-like mounts used by Zeus' forces.

In the manga's conclusion, Tim survives and reunites with Katherine, who has undergone her own Medusa-induced transformation into a harpy-like being. They remain together alongside Kasumi Ishiki, with Tim beginning a search for his biological parents. The film adaptation depicts Tim surviving; he and Kasumi emerge as the only survivors at the facility, vowing to find his family. The film portrays Tim initially viewing the monstrous threats through the lens of his video games, expressing excitement rather than fear, differing from his more consistently terrified manga counterpart.
