Combined Aka emerges when the alien warriors Abo and Kado fuse during their battle against Earth's defenders. Abo and Kado, remnants of Frieza's army hunting Vegeta's brother Tarble to Earth, possessed individual power surpassing Frieza himself despite origins comparable to the Ginyu Force.
Cornered by Goten and Trunks, they combine into the larger, more powerful entity named Aka (derived from the Japanese word for "red"). This fused form exhibits dramatically amplified strength, speed, and durability compared to its components.
In combat, Combined Aka employs aggressive aerial tactics: savage thrusts launch opponents skyward and rapid spinning attacks grip foes by the head. Its signature techniques include the "Wahaha no Ha" energy wave and the more destructive "Super Wahaha no Ha," rapid-fire projectiles capable of demolishing structures like the Satan Hotel.
Initially dominating Goten and Trunks, Combined Aka forces them to attempt the Fusion Dance. Though their first attempt fails, succeeding as Gotenks allows them a temporary advantage using combined techniques like the Wolf Fang Fist and Volleyball Attack, knocking Aka into a lake. The fused warrior resurfaces enraged, unleashing widespread energy blasts that obliterate the hotel.
Amid the chaos, Piccolo deflects Aka's attacks with Special Beam Cannon while other fighters protect civilians. Goku intervenes, tricking Vegeta as a distraction before confronting Aka alone. Goku counters Aka's "Full Power Wahaha no Ha" with a Kamehameha wave and defeats the fused entity with a single decisive punch, ending the threat.
Following defeat, Abo and Kado separate and are invited to the ongoing banquet, peacefully consuming radishes grown by Goku's family.
