Description
Originating from Earth, Leon Cromwell was transported to the Central World approximately 300 years ago through a dimensional distortion. His appearance features long platinum-gold hair, narrow blue eyes, and pale, nearly translucent skin, frequently causing others to mistake him for a woman at first glance. Despite his youthful visage, he has lived for over two centuries.

Leon exhibits a cold, calculative, and aloof exterior, often misunderstood due to his difficulty expressing emotions clearly. This masks an inherently kind nature, though his actions are dominated by an obsessive quest to reunite with his childhood friend Chloe Aubert, who vanished during their transit. This fixation drives him to morally ambiguous acts, including orchestrating the summoning of otherworlder children. When Chloe is involved, his demeanor shifts abruptly to hotheaded and fiercely protective. He displays neurodivergent traits like social challenges and a one-track mind. He refers to himself formally as "watashi" but switches to the informal "ore" during emotional surges.

Upon arriving in the Central World with Chloe, Leon contracted a light elemental to become a "Chosen Hero," earning aliases like "Blonde Chosen Hero" and "Flash Chosen Hero." Around 200 years ago, he abandoned this path by antagonizing and defeating Demon Lord Kazalim in a life-or-death battle. This victory granted him Kazalim’s council seat as a Demon Lord, adopting titles such as "Platinum Devil" and "Platinum Saber." He established El Dorado (or Eldorado) near the southern demon world as his territory, later joining the Octagram as its seventh seat. El Dorado functions as a sanctuary for orphans and outcasts, many collected by Leon.

Centuries of searching for Chloe led him to secretly disseminate an incomplete otherworlder-summoning method across Western Nations. This ritual required fewer resources but had shorter cooldowns, often summoning children unable to control transit-infused magicules, which proved fatal without spirit bonds. One summoning brought Shizue Izawa from WWII Tokyo firebombings; Leon saved her by binding fire spirit Ifrit to her, though Ifrit’s violent interventions and Shizue’s trauma strained their relationship. He permitted Shizue to leave with the "Masked Hero" but continued his experiments.

Leon attended Walpurgis banquets, observing Rimuru Tempest’s ascension and clash with Clayman. He abandoned his summoning plans after Rimuru rescued otherworlder children and pressured human nations to cease the practice. Later, he allied with Rimuru and Luminous Valentine upon locating Chloe in Lubelius, though she vanished due to time-travel complications. Their reunion culminated in Chloe explaining her timeline experiences, partially resolving Leon’s quest. During a conflict instigated by Yuuki Kagurazaka, Leon suffered a pierced heart from Footman (Kazalim’s subordinate). Rimuru intervened, repairing his heart and elevating him to a "Demigod."

Evolving from "True Hero" to Demon Lord, Leon mastered swordsmanship as the "Platinum Saber," wielding a legendary holy sword. His core power was the angelic Ultimate Skill "King of Purity (Metatron)," enabling holy magic like wide-destruction "Spirit Particle Collapse." After Rimuru’s aid, this evolved into "King of Radiance (Surya)." Despite human physiology preventing "True Demon Lord" status, his combat prowess rivals ancient Demon Lords, with strategic command over vast magical abilities.

Leon’s paramount bond is with Chloe, though unreciprocated romantically. He endures Guy Crimson’s relentless sexual pursuit despite rejections. He rivals ice dragon Velzard and finds Ramiris irritating for her teasing about their past. He respects Rimuru’s influence over his summoning cessation and maintains a pragmatic alliance with Luminous Valentine. Elmesia El Ru Sarion, a hero-era companion, views him as excessively silent and stubborn.
