Description
Kunimasa Madarame is an 18-year-old third-year high school student working part-time as a waiter. Holding dual citizenship in Japan and the United States, he possesses a tall stature, black hair, brown eyes, and an often intimidating facial expression that complicates his social interactions. He wears glasses with his school uniform.

As the son of David Woodville and Makio Madarame, Kunimasa belongs to the Madarame family. His mother ingrained in him a philosophy prioritizing breeding over emotional attachment and deeming love unnecessary, significantly shaping his early behavior. He is the younger half-brother of Yonekuni Madarame (sharing their mother) and has multiple half-siblings, including Hidekuni and Manami Tokashiki. His stepfather is Seymour Maximilian and his stepmother is Karen Tokashiki. Kunimasa sacrificed himself to live with their abusive mother, Makio, to protect Yonekuni during childhood, resulting in lasting emotional trauma.

His personality blends a harsh exterior with internal vulnerability. He struggles to express genuine emotions, frequently appearing stoic, conceited, or easily angered—particularly when ignored. Initially exhibiting hypersexual behavior, he sought multiple partners for physical gratification while rejecting romantic attachment. This caused friction with his lover, Norio Tsuburaya, who became the primary target of Kunimasa's possessive jealousy. His early treatment of Norio involved emotional manipulation and mixed signals: rejecting public acknowledgment of their relationship while preventing Norio from interacting with other males. Kunimasa experienced confusion confronting unfamiliar emotions like love and jealousy.

His development centers on his relationship with Norio. After a significant conflict where Norio distanced himself, Kunimasa recognized his feelings as love rather than reproductive desire. This prompted gradual change: he became more open with his emotions, demonstrated kindness, and eventually proposed marriage. His protectiveness evolved into healthier devotion, though he retained his determination to have children with Norio. By his arc's end, he actively worked to overcome communication flaws and acknowledged Norio as a life partner.

As a madararui (a human descended from animals), Kunimasa’s soul manifests as a large black-and-white jaguar. His specific lineage classifies him as a nekomata (a type of cat spirit) with the "Jyanome" trait and "Heavy Seed" status, denoting high reproductive potency. His abilities include transforming into a white-spotted jaguar, seeing others' souls to identify them as madararui or kakuen, and possessing enhanced physical strength surpassing ordinary humans. He is also a proficient swimmer, having inherited snake traits from his mother.

Key events shaping his growth include a summer training period at the Madarame estate, where his mother auctioned his engagement. Norio’s intervention halted the auction, forcing Kunimasa to confront his commitment and leading to their reconciliation. During this arc, he clashed with his half-brother Hidekuni, who developed feelings for Norio. This intensified Kunimasa’s jealousy but ultimately reinforced his dedication to Norio.
