Sōei is one of six surviving Ogres whose village fell to an Orc horde. Following a temporary misunderstanding, his group joined Rimuru Tempest's settlement. Named by Rimuru, they evolved into Kijin, transforming Sōei from a tall, dark-skinned Ogre with a bluish tint, white horn, and blue hair covering one eye into a lean young man roughly 180 centimeters tall. He retains his dark blue hair and calm, collected demeanor, adopting attire optimized for espionage. This appearance remains consistent through later evolutions.
