Description
Soular, operating under the human alias Shun Minami, holds the rank of general within the parallel world Labyrinth. His true form possesses grayish skin, long grey hair, and green eyes. He wears a black shirt patterned with light green, black-teal trousers, and a matching vest secured by teal ribbons. A silver belt featuring a green gem, black gloves, and a cape divided into pale green and black sections complete his attire, the cape affixed to silver shoulder boards adorned with white ruffles. Following his resurrection, his outfit transforms to primarily white with brighter green accents, including a light teal belt holding a white gem and gold ruffles on the shoulder boards. As Shun Minami, he adopts the appearance of a conventionally attractive human: dark grey hair styled in a low ponytail, lighter skin, and clothing consisting of a black shirt, white coat, light mauve pants, and white shoes.

Soular exhibits the most calm and strategically focused demeanor among Labyrinth's executives. He favors meticulous planning over impulsive actions, openly mocking his comrade Westar for perceived incompetence and unsettling Eas by questioning her capabilities. Despite an initial impression of cold detachment, he demonstrates underlying care for his comrades, cooperating effectively with them and expressing visible shock at Eas's defection to become Cure Passion. A minor quirk involves overlooking mundane details, exemplified by adding excessive sugar to tea.

His relationships are characterized by conflict evolving into redemption. He frequently clashes with Cure Berry (Miki Aono), battling her more often than other Cures. During one confrontation, Cure Berry attempts to reveal Moebius's manipulation of him, an accusation he initially rejects. However, he later sacrifices himself to save her from a collapsing void, marking a pivotal shift. After resurrection, he explicitly thanks her for her earlier words. He maintains a contentious yet loyal dynamic with Westar and Eas, ribbing them while valuing them as trusted allies—a loyalty that fractures when Moebius orders his disposal.

Soular's history within Labyrinth involves multiple schemes to harvest negative energy for Moebius. His first plan centers on erasing objects using a chalkboard-summoned Nakewameke, inadvertently causing a rift between Love Momozono and her mother; this fails when the Pretty Cure defeat the monster. Later, he attempts to steal the Clover Box from a child but is outmaneuvered by Cure Berry, who feigns an attack to reclaim it. Following Eas's defection and Westar's failures, Moebius replaces them with Northa, who merges Nakewamekes into stronger Sorewatase monsters. Soular continues serving Labyrinth until a critical battle where he rejects Cure Berry's warnings about Moebius's exploitation. When a void opens during their fight, he pushes her to safety, falling into oblivion.

This sacrifice leads to his rebirth alongside Westar. Returning in the finale, he aids the Pretty Cure against Northa and Klein, openly acknowledging Cure Berry's influence on his change of allegiance. He collaborates with the Cures in their Cure Angel forms to confront Moebius and thwart his multiversal conquest.

As a Labyrinth general, he wields standard abilities including summoning Nakewamekes and shapeshifting into his human form, engaging in direct combat with the Cures on multiple occasions. Post-resurrection, Chiffon grants him powers identical to his previous abilities but realigned for benevolent purposes.

Trivia notes: His name derives from the compass direction "South," reflected in his human surname Minami (南). His human identity shares a homophone with Kaido Minami from *Go! Princess Pretty Cure*. He makes a cameo appearance in the *Dream Story* manga, standing behind Westar. He also exhibits a preference for heavily sugared tea.
