Description
Gntarl commands the United Army, a coalition of heavenly realms resisting the Magical Kingdom ruled by Munto. The United Army condemns Munto’s domain for overharvesting Akuto—energy drawn from human emotions—which they claim destabilizes celestial survival. Convinced the heavens’ preservation demands strict rationing and centralized control of this resource, Gntarl views Munto’s alliance with Yumemi, a human girl capable of restoring Akuto’s flow, as a reckless threat to cosmic order.
His resolve stems from an unyielding belief that only his leadership can secure the heavens’ future, dismissing alternative strategies as naive or catastrophic. This conviction drives him to employ merciless tactics, including deploying a devastating automaton to assassinate Munto during his earthly mission to recruit Yumemi. Gntarl’s utilitarian calculus prioritizes Akuto conservation above all else, justifying warfare and collateral damage as necessary sacrifices.
When Munto successfully reignites Akuto’s flow, Gntarl redirects his efforts to seize Yumemi as a strategic asset, clashing with former allies like Gass, guardian of time, who condemns his brutality. Undeterred by warnings of consequences, Gntarl equates compromise with weakness, upholding absolute authority as the sole path to stability.
During the heavens’ ensuing civil war—sparked by renewed access to Akuto and fracturing alliances—Gntarl exploits the chaos to consolidate power, positioning himself as the decisive force capable of uniting the fractured realms. Yet his rigid adherence to control and dismissal of alternative solutions cement his role as a secondary antagonist, perpetually opposing Munto’s coalition that bridges celestial and human interests.
