Babalun Mesut is the chancellor and later prime minister of the Shitoreiyu Empire. He is the father of Dagmeyr and older brother of Ulyte. His central ambition is to orchestrate an invasion of the Holy Land to obtain the Seikishin Gaia and the Shield of Gaia. His objectives extend to conquering Havoniwa, Shurifon, and potentially the entire world of Geminar.

A Core Crystal was implanted in his body during his youth by his father, which gradually took control of his mind over many years. This crystal had been passed down through the Mest family for generations and is the same crystal that belonged to the Seikishi who previously used Gaia to destroy an earlier civilization. After his defeat, a fragment of this Core Crystal is retrieved by Dagmeyr and is observed to glow momentarily.

In his pursuit of power, he eventually merges with the entity known as Gaia in a final attempt to defeat Kenshi Masaki. This merger leads to his ultimate defeat at the hands of Kenshi and Ulyte. His personal war vessel is named the Babel, modeled after the Tower of Babel and equipped with numerous cannons on its hull.
