Description
Motivated by her parents' conscription during the Terra Abduction event orchestrated by an enigmatic space colony, Itsuki Kannagi joined the Inter-Colony Police (ICP) as an officer, bypassing conventional secondary education. Her commitment is absolute, fueled by a strong aversion to errors and a perfectionist disposition. Assigned to the ICP's Mysteries Department handling occult phenomena, she pilots the experimental QT-Arms mecha ARC-II-J1, equipped with advanced capabilities including a personal cloaking shield integrated into her standard-issue blue Q-Tector suit. Her duties involve direct confrontations against adversaries like Bougainvillea and Mintao.
As part of an undercover operation, she enrolls at Surre Academy under the alias Mutsumi Shimoyama, where her lack of social proficiency causes interpersonal misunderstandings. During this mission, a destructive altercation with Honoka Kawai damages the academy and hints at Itsuki's potential Ex-QT capabilities, straining her relationship with both Honoka and Akiha Shishido. Shared experiences with Akiha, including witnessing the Terra Abduction where individuals are hypnotically drawn into the Pied Piper orbital elevator to serve Nervalist forces, expose Itsuki to Nerval's manipulation and the colonies' political complexities. Emotional conflicts arise within the trio, escalating in episode 16 before reconciliation. Itsuki demonstrates assertiveness, such as slapping Akiha during a critical mind-control incident in episode 23.
Her undercover identity necessitates faking her death at Nina Stratoski's direction, leading to her reintroduction as a transfer student. This deception causes confusion and complicates her mission, particularly when Bougainvillea and Mintao mistake her for a ghost. Her social naivety leads her to rely on Yuri manga to navigate high school interactions, resulting in unintentional fanservice incidents due to literal interpretations of social cues. Physically, Itsuki has green hair, purple eyes, stands 1.65 meters tall, and wears a standard skirt with white and yellow accents paired with grey and white legwear.
