Description
Tsuruya is a hyperactive individual with a loud voice and ankle-length hair, distinguished by a prominent tooth that shapes her unique speech. Her words often tumble out with missing syllables, accompanied by a lisp and the recurring exclamations “megas” and “nyoro.”

She maintains a cheerful and friendly demeanor, frequently breaking into prolonged, intense laughter at even the slightest humor. Her awareness of the SOS Brigade comes mainly through her friend Mikuru Asahina.

Though not an official member, Tsuruya participates in some brigade activities, including playing on its baseball team. She appears sporadically in the anime adaptation but holds a more substantial role in the original novels, where she is noted to get along very well with Haruhi Suzumiya.

As heir to the Tsuruya family, which reportedly collaborates with the Agency—an organization linked to Itsuki Koizumi—it is unclear whether she possesses a secret identity or agenda.

In the parody series *The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya*, she features in comedic scenarios alongside other characters. One episode includes a dream sequence where her appearance as a hawk is interpreted as a lucky omen.

In the alternate universe of *The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan*, Tsuruya attends North High School in a different class than Yuki Nagato and Mikuru Asahina. Despite the absence of supernatural elements, her personality remains energetic and unchanged. She socializes with Mikuru and engages in playful competitions, such as challenging Yuki for a turkey.
