Gatol belonged to a Federation Army insurgent cell engaged in smuggling and experimenting with the Ryunka, an alien bioweapon, on Earth. This group pursued their Ryunka research under the pretense of combating the Alliance. Following the Ryunka disaster, most insurgents faced imprisonment until Gatol and fellow cell member Moss secured their freedom. They subsequently regrouped on Earth to restructure their operations.

Gatol possesses formidable combat effectiveness, starkly demonstrated when he effortlessly murdered Dusk Shinmoyu, a former leader of an Altan uprising, without encountering resistance. During the insurgents' regrouping phase, Gatol became a target of Nataru Shinmoyu, who systematically hunted down each cell member responsible for the Ryunka incident.

Gatol met his end in a direct confrontation with Nataru. Despite his considerable strength, Nataru overpowered and killed him, driven by a relentless quest for revenge. Gatol's death contributed directly to the dismantling of the insurgent cell.
