Two figures dominate his investigations: idol Shion Arita, whom he suspects harbors major secrets, and rising businessman Satyajit Shyamalan. His impulsive approach regularly leads him into perilous situations, though his keen instincts help him evade danger. He shares a professional rapport with journalism club chairperson Natsumi Hayamiya, recognizing her similar investigative drive and viewing her as a protégé.

Key involvements include witnessing Bacillus's attack during a movie shoot, where debris knocked him unconscious as he attempted to photograph Bacillus and Birdy. Later, he partnered with Hayamiya to investigate the Ryunka explosion aftermath at Sawajiri Village. Their probe triggered a lethal confrontation with Shyamalan’s armed team, resulting in a policeman’s death before Birdy rescued them.
