Description
George Ushiromiya, born March 16, 1963 (blood type B), is the 23-year-old eldest son of Eva and Hideyoshi Ushiromiya. As Kinzo Ushiromiya's eldest grandchild, he stands sixth in the family succession. He stands approximately 170 cm tall with pale skin, short black hair, and an average build, described as neither notably handsome nor unattractive. His eyes are black in the original narrative but green in adaptations; he wears glasses due to poor vision. His attire includes formal wear, notably a yellow suit bearing the Ushiromiya crest, and casual clothes sometimes featuring dog tags or a "TOMITAKE FLASH" T-shirt.

Eva subjected George to a strict upbringing, intensively tutoring him from childhood in academics, arts, and martial arts to groom him as the family successor, leaving little free time. Her overbearing control fostered hidden resentment, though George maintained public respect for his parents. Working as an apprentice at his father's company, he aspired to financial independence and starting his own business. Among cousins Jessica, Battler, and Maria, he acted as a peacekeeper and voice of reason, mediating conflicts. He defended Maria's belief in magic against mockery and discouraged Battler from intervening during Rosa's abuse to avoid escalation. Privately in his youth, he felt superior to Jessica and Battler due to their informal speech and resented their perceived freedom.

Martial arts are a defining trait, specializing in high-powered kicks trained by Eva; his axe kicks possess skull-shattering force. In meta-world battles, he displayed exceptional agility and combat prowess, defeating entities like EVA-Beatrice and confronting demons such as Gaap. However, his deaths across story arcs often involved ambushes or firearms, as direct confrontations typically favored him.

His central motivation is love for Shannon, a servant later revealed as Sayo Yasuda. He fell for her during Rokkenjima family conferences, proposed marriage, gifted her a ring, and urged her to use her real name Sayo to affirm her humanity beyond servitude. Eva opposed the union, arranging an engagement to Ayumi, but George remained defiant, declaring willingness to defy his family and the world for Shannon, stating marriage meant making her his lifelong ally. During Kinzo's trial in Alliance of the Golden Witch, forced to choose between sacrificing his life, Shannon's, or everyone else's, he chose the third option, reasoning marriage required readiness to fight the world. Flashbacks reveal he initially envied Battler's closeness to Shannon but later overcame it.

His fate varies: Legend of the Golden Witch sees him mourn Shannon and die on the tenth twilight after his parents; Turn of the Golden Witch has him murdered in Natsuhi's room with a stomach stake; Banquet of the Golden Witch shows his corpse in the parlor with a gunshot-like wound. In Alliance of the Golden Witch, he battles Gaap in the meta-world, chooses to sacrifice all others during Kinzo's trial, attacks Gaap, declares himself family head, is teleported into Jessica's path resulting in mutual death—his abdomen punctured by her punch, his kick destroying half her face—and Gaap later desecrates his corpse with a forehead injury. Dawn of the Golden Witch has him target Eva in a "love trial," defeating her witch form EVA-Beatrice. Requiem of the Golden Witch shows Rudolf shooting him in the side and head. End of the Golden Witch has him die in the first twilight with a slashed throat. Twilight of the Golden Witch involves his death by Rudolf, Kyrie, and Battler.

He appears as a playable character in Ougon Musou Kyoku, specializing in close-range kick attacks, with story modes involving Jessica, Shannon, Ronove, and Beatrice; his alternate palette references Miles Edgeworth. Fan perceptions vary, with some noting his romantic interactions with Shannon as condescending or rooted in a "nice guy" mentality regarding past jealousy of Battler, while others observe his development from troubled youth to composed adult, though his prioritization of Shannon over family and occasional blindness to her insecurities remain discussed.
