Description
Raoh, titled Ken-Oh ("King of Fist"), originated from the island of Shura, where he was orphaned after his mother died rescuing the infant Kenshiro from a fire. Sent to the mainland with his brother Toki and Kenshiro, he defied Ryuken’s decree to adopt only one disciple by scaling a sheer canyon with Toki strapped to his back, compelling Ryuken to accept both as Hokuto Shinken students. Raoh’s relentless ambition to dominate led him to murder Ryuken when Kenshiro was named successor, defying Hokuto’s ancient laws.

Following nuclear devastation, Raoh carved a path of conquest to impose order, founding the Ken-Oh army with allies including Jagi, Amiba, Juda, and Ryuga. His childhood companions Reina, a lethal swordswoman, and Souga, a tactician with a mechanical limb, spearheaded critical campaigns—storming Cassandra Prison, securing the stallion Kokuoh-Go—while tolerating Raoh’s brutality: executing rivals, absorbing factions, and crushing dissent.

Raoh’s familial bonds shaped his rule. He imprisoned Toki at Cassandra to neutralize opposition but halted their duel upon learning of Toki’s terminal illness. His rivalry with Kenshiro ignited clashes across wastelands, from Mamiya’s village to the Hokuto Renkitōza, where Raoh faltered upon witnessing Kenshiro’s Musō Tensei, a technique fueled by sorrow. To provoke Kenshiro, Raoh staged Yuria’s death, only to discover her true terminal condition—an revelation that awakened his own capacity for grief, unlocking Musō Tensei.

In their final confrontation, Raoh conceded Kenshiro’s supremacy, channeling his remaining life force to shroud the skies and restore sunlight to the world. His legacy survived through his son Ryu, later trained by Kenshiro, and his unrealized vow to liberate the Land of Asura from his biological brother Kaioh.

The spin-off *Legends of the Dark King* expanded Raoh’s early reign, depicting alliances forged through combat—such as subjugating Uighur in battle—and merciless pragmatism, like euthanizing a wounded foal to win Kokuoh-Go’s loyalty. It illustrated his strategic genius: circumventing Cassandra’s defenses by demolishing walls and integrating former foes like Gion into his ranks.

Raoh’s trajectory balanced tyrannical might with fleeting humanity, ambition with self-reflection, ultimately redeemed by a sacrificial act that transcended his hunger for power.
